MARKETING TIPS FOR TOUGH ECONOMIC TIMES

This free Marketing class is being offered by the Main Street Program. It will be held at Ardery’s Antiques, 627 Main Street in Paris on Wed., April 8, 2009 at 8:30 am. Betty Lewis, will be our instructor. With over 36 years of experience in marketing, Betty is well qualified to speak on the subject. Betty served as Marketing Manager and Vice President of Marketing in the corporate world at Dozier Equipment International and Tridon, Inc. ,respectively, in Nashville, TN, where she was directly responsible for development of national advertising and marketing campaigns, direct mail customer lists and demographics, new product launches, national trade shows, and other facets of marketing. Eight of her years of experience have been in retail proprietorship in Franklin, TN., and Ardery’s Antiques in Paris.

The hour-long seminar will focus on easy, inexpensive ideas to market your local business in these “uneasy” economic times. Topics will include: * Development and Usage of Your Customer List - Your Best Asset * The Best Advertising Bang for Your Buck and * Easy Direct Mail Pieces That “Work”. This will be an abbreviated overview of how to make yourself visible to your customers on a limited advertising budget by incorporating basic marketing ideas that meet your company’s and your customers’ needs.

Setup will be in “The Fountain” area of the shop and will feature a relaxed atmosphere of discussions, questions and problem-solving.
